Quick update #1

I need to update the blog so bad. I realize that so I am going to post a bunch of random pictures from the last little bit so you can see what we have been up to and so you can all see how funny my kids are.

Here is a picture that Briley did. She is such a little artist.
She loves to draw and color.

For being potty trained Pops got Briley a swing set.
Here she is swinging on her swing set.

Even Parker has a swing and loves it.

Parker waving

Thursday, August 14, 2008

Here are just a few pictures of the kids . Some cute and some so funny you will wonder where they came from. Here is a picture of Briley. I looked at this picture and wondered where my little girl went. She looks so grown up. Not like a 3 year old. In a way it makes me sad.Parker is getting so curious now. He is crawling like crazy to every corner and getting into everything. I guess it is what you want but sometimes it drives me crazy because I cannot keep up with him. But he sure is cute!
Briley loves the 4-wheelers. Any time they come out she is all over it. She knows how to make them go. You have to be careful if you let her drive because she pushes the gas to go, and it go's.
Parker loves bath time. When ever I go in to clean the tub no matter where he is he hears the water running and he comes a runnin' . He is a water baby just like his sister. Look at those chubby little ankles.
Briley and one of her bestest friends Nicole.

I swear Briley was a 1 1/2 years old before she could see through the screen door. Parker has been able to for about a month now without standing on his tippy toes.
Beware of the next couple pictures do not laugh too hard. Briely found her goggles and was wearing them everywhere. First she was on her rocking horse with her crown of course.
Then we made a cake for Andrew's Birthday and of course she had to wear them. You never know when cake batter will splatter and get into your eyes. Always wear safety goggles when making cakes. Look how the goggles squish her cheeks and make then look so squishy.
My happy boy. He sees the camera and has to try to touch it.

Briley and Parker playing in the blankets. Briley was making Parker laugh.
I love that sound, it is on of the best sounds in the world.

fun with tupperware

As you can see it is always fun to play in the tupperware drawer. This was always a favorite for Briely when she was this age. And is looks like it is still. I will open the drawer for Parker to play in while I am in the kitchen or cleaning to keep him occupied. One day I heard laughing and giggling so I checked on the kiddos and this is what I found. Briely was "making tomato soup" and was feeding it to Parker. He would taste the spoon every time it would come near his mouth. Then he would wait patiently for her to dip it in the container and feed him some more. Good thing he is too young to realize there was nothing there. I think that maybe he kept hoping that there would be something on the spoon that would actually taste. It was really fun to watch them play together.

Parker so happy, waiting for sister to feed him some more
Parker eager to taste what is on the spoon
What a good Big Sister

catch up for now

Okay so I know that it has been a long time since I posted last. I was told by my friend Wendy that I need to update more often. Well here is a quick post of what we have been up to. Two weeks ago Andrew got his tonsils out and his deviated septum fixed. We have heard nightmares on recovery for adults with this procedure. So naturally I was a little nervous, actually a lot nervous. Men are sissy's when it comes to being sick, or hurt. I know all you men would like to denie it but all of us women know the truth. Andrew actually recovered very quickly and very manly! He was not too bad. He was quick to drink and did everything the doctors said. He was very good and not too needy or pathetic. I am very proud of him and for his recovery. I on the other hand just about died from exhaustion. Between two kids and a sick man, I had lack of sleep up the wazoo. Other than that Briely has been enjoying going to Seven Peaks, she is getting quite the little tan. Right now Briley's new thing is going around saying "I am a pig, frog, and cow. Oink, Ribbit, Mooo, Oink, Ribbit, Mooo." It is really cute. Parker's gums are swollen, one is purple from teething. He has four coming in right now, two on top and two on bottom. Poor little guy. In fact his first tooth on the bottom popped through yesterday. Watch out everyone I think he is going to be a bitter like his sister.

rain, rain, don't go away

What do the kids do when it rains? It started out across the street then quickly came to our yard so they could include Briley. It was lots of fun to watch them all gang up on poor Porter. What a good group of kids. Briley had lots of fun chasing after everyone and hitting them as you can see in the picture of Briley getting ready to hit Caleb.

What's new

Just a few things that have been happening that are a little hard to capture in a picture. First of all Briley is now potty trained. It has been official for a little of two weeks. It just happened one day. Most of you know it has been a trying time in all of our lives. She is pretty strong willed. We tried everything, but one day it just clicked and everything came together, the stars must have aligned just right that night. What a big girl! Parker is also crawling. He has been crawling now for about a month or a little more. He is getting fast. We really have to watch him. He can climb up stairs and onto anything his size. He is starting to walk along furniture. Before long he will be walking. We'll let you know.
