This last week we went to Escalante, UT with some good friends. We left on Wednesday and came back on Saturday. We had so much fun! Thanks Jed, Jill and Milo for inviting us to go with you! On Thursday we went on a 6 mile hike to calf creek falls. Thanks to Marci for letting us borrow her stroller, and an even bigger thanks to Jed and Andrew for enduring the hike with the stroller. They had to carry the stroller during parts of the hike with kids in it because the trail was too narrow or there were boulders on the trail. Andrew and Jed were amazing. We would not have made it without them and their strength! Thanks again! On Friday we went to a place called the Devils Garden. It has "hoodoos" all over. The kids loved it because there was lots of sand to play in. We just let them play as the boys went exploring to find the arch and some fun places to take pictures. The kids not only had fun playing in the sand but also climbing on the hoodoos. We took Diddy with us and he even loved climbing all over the rocks. The weather was perfect to spend the day out in the sun exploring. Before we knew it it was Saturday. It had been so nice to be on vacation. It was much needed. On our way home we stopped in Bryce Canyon to see an Arch. It was really pretty. We found this little rock ledge to sit on and we all took pictures on it. Then back home. Once again I would like to say thank you Jed and Jill for inviting us to join you on this little trip. We had so much fun.

Parker turned 1
I cannot believe that my little boy is one already. Where does the time go? He is so much fun and such a good little boy. I sure love him. He is such a mommy's boy right now and he is walking all over. What a good year it was. Parker's first birthday was a good day. We did not do anything big. We had a cake for him to eat and a couple of presents. He didn't really know what was going on. But I think that he had fun. We had a nice night with family. On the following Saturday we met up with both Grandparents in Salt Lake for a lunch. Parker always loves being with the Grandparents no matter where we are.

I love fall time
I love fall time. It is one of the best seasons. I love how the air starts to cool down and the air changes. I love how the leaves start to change colors and how all the colors blend from reds, to yellows, to oranges to greens. It is so beautiful!
Parker's first time in the leaves. He actually did not mind it. I even think he had fun standing there. We know it was ok since he did not scream bloody murder.

deer hunt
I am a little behind. Last weekend was the opening of the Deer Hunt. For all of you who know me, I come from a hunting family. Me, Myself I do not hunt, but the rest of the family does. Andrew married into the family as a non hunter, but was a good son-in-law and got the beloved blue card and is now considered a hunter. This is the second year that we have gone and this is the year that two hunters got their very first deer. Tyson and Andrew are those two lucky souls. I will let the pictures speak for themselves on how big their bucks are and how proud they are of these deer.
The rest of us had a good time. Briley and Parker enjoyed themselves in the fresh mountain air and playing with friends. Briley had so much fun riding the little four wheeler around. Parker just had a good time being a boy.

How do I look?
This is a great look. Briley found the Christmas things in Grandma's closet and decided to put it all on. She even has two santa hats on her feet. And then proceed to eat breakfast this way.
